(February 2018 - March 2020)
THIS PAGE IS STILL IN PROGRESS
Boosted's mission is to make transportation fun, fast, and simple for everyone via lightweight electric vehicles with extreme durability and performance. During my time at the company, the extended range skate battery, V3 skate line, dual-motor scooter, and skate accessories were all released.
As a Mechatronics Engineer at Boosted, I wore alot of different hats and worked on a huge variety of projects. I began on the Reliability and Test team and eventually switched over to the Embedded Firmware team. Below is a list of some main projects that I worked on for each team.

Main Projects List
Embedded FW Team:
-
Design and implementation of FW changes to mitigate extended range battery field failures
-
Design and implementation of prototype FW for future vehicle features
-
Creation of custom FW to allow users to alter scooter system parameters via CLI
-
Design of custom Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) fixtures
-
Design of automation framework to validate FW builds on HIL fixtures
-
Creation of custom FW to control automated charging and discharging of batteries
-
Various bug tracking and fixes
Reliability and Test Team:
-
Urgent root cause analysis of extended range battery failures costing company lots of money, as well as design and execution of solution strategy
-
Design of strain gauge instrumentation setup to gather real-world scooter loading cases
-
Automated fixture to repeatedly slam skate/scooter products at high G and high cycle count
-
Automated fixture to flex/deflect longboard decks at low amplitude and high cycle count
-
"Endless" dyno fixture to drive scooters 7000+ miles
-
Execution and management of waterfall testing for V3 skate platform
-
Creation and execution of entire reliability test plan for the scooter battery
-
General failure analysis of skate product field failures
