A bit about me...

My passion for engineering began in the early years. As a child, my favorite activity by far was constructing with LEGOs. Through grade school I relished building projects such as a bendable pencil, miniature hot air balloon, water desalinizer, catapult, etc. Thus, I developed a desire to build and create early on.
Naturally, I was drawn towards a career in engineering and began my college education at MiraCosta Community College. I later transferred as a Junior to UC Berkeley to finish my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. As a student I engineered complex course projects, built solar cars from scratch, contributed to medical research, as well as completed internships at GM and Tesla. I ultimately chose to continue my education at UCB and obtained my M.S. degree in May of 2017.
Through my education and experiences, I discovered a passion for Mechatronics and thus made this the focus of my Master's. I get extremely energized by the idea of blending mechanical, electrical, and software concepts to solve a challenging problem. I love to know how things work, and a knowledge of mechatronic systems allows for a deeper understanding of much of modern technology. Some specific areas of interest include autonomous vehicles, electric vehicles, cooperative robotics, and surgical robotics.
In summation, I'm a passionate mechatronics engineer whose determination and work ethic drive me to seek out and achieve difficult goals. Because mechatronics taps into so many facets of engineering, I am continuously learning and broadening my skillset everyday. At my root, I love creation and building things.
Aside from engineering, music is my passion and I am an active drummer. I also enjoy playing sports and have recently gotten into ultimate frisbee and disc golfing.
